From a mic...to a couch.
Hi. It's me, Kate.
I want to tell you a little story.

From the very beginning of Abidible, I never wanted this to be just me talking at people. Even though I love podcasting deeply, I’ve always learned best by teaching and discussing. Processing together. Asking questions. Wrestling with Scripture side by side.
For a long time, I felt this gentle tug from the Lord—an excitement mixed with hesitation—to create a space where that could actually happen. Not just content going out into the void, but a two-way street. A place where we could talk with one another about what we’re learning in God’s Word. My heart has always been to make so much of God’s Word, and to show how fruitful and adventurous studying it can be, that you’d be compelled to open your Bible yourself.
I hesitated, though.
I didn’t want to create “one more thing” for already-busy women. I didn’t want to replace anyone’s personal time with God or their local church community—those matter deeply to me. And I never wanted Abidible to do the work for you.
But I couldn’t shake the vision.
I kept imagining a corner of the internet where mindless scrolling could be redeemed. An online space where, instead of feeling stressed or depressed or anxious, you’d put your phone down feeling filled—because you’d spent time engaging with God’s Word and God’s people. A place where hard questions were welcome. Where curiosity wasn’t seen as weak faith. Where we could figure things out together.
So I did it. I followed that still, small voice and launched abidible+ this past August.

We are now six months in, and I recently moved our platform over to Facebook. Here’s what has surprised me most: I genuinely look forward to opening our little group page every day. I’m blown away by the questions being asked, the insights being shared, the honesty and vulnerability that’s beginning to grow. I'd love to share (I have their permission) some of what's been happening...
Women saying things like, “I’ve never noticed that before.”

Or bravely admitting, “I have questions.”
Or sharing where walking out God’s truth has been hard lately.
It feels different than Instagram comments or podcast downloads. It’s slower. More human. More protected. Smaller—and safer. It feels like a comfy couch where you grab a drink, settle in with friends, and have really good, meaningful conversation about God and His Word.

Right now, the group is small. As we build something sacred and deep in this space, we’re experimenting, learning, and growing together. It’s not polished or perfected—it’s living and breathing. And what God is doing with a few already feels mighty.

This space has changed me as a teacher, too. Being connected to women in real time—seeing what they’re processing, asking, struggling with, and enjoying—has sharpened and humbled me. It’s helping ensure that what I teach isn’t just head knowledge, but something we’re learning to walk out together. We’re not just consuming information; we’re serving one another. Sharpening one another. Becoming disciples together.
If Abidible+ disappeared tomorrow, I’d miss the connection the most. Real people. Real questions. Real conversations centered on God and His Word. In a culture where so much online space steals life and joy, this feels like swimming upstream—and it's becoming something beautiful.

I don’t know if you’re someone who loves studying the Bible but sometimes wishes you had someone to talk it through with.
Or if you’ve ever closed your Bible with a question and thought, I wish I could ask this out loud somewhere.
Or if you’ve felt a little tired of doing all of your spiritual processing alone—especially in a world where so much online space feels loud, shallow, or draining.
I also don’t know if this season of life gives you margin to engage much at all. Many of the women in our group are busy, tired, and showing up imperfectly (which, is actually...perfect). Some participate actively. Some read quietly. All of that is welcome.
I mainly just wanted you to know that this space exists.
I wanted to do a better job of explaining why it exists, and what has quietly started happening there. Why I felt that tug from the Lord to create a place not just to teach, but to listen. Not just to speak into a microphone, but to sit on the couch with other women and talk about what we’re learning and where we’re wrestling.
When someone joins, I personally send the Facebook group invite and welcome them in. That’s it. I just wanted to do a better job of explaining why this space exists—and what’s quietly happening there. 🤍
ABIDIBLE+ TESTIMONIES
I'll leave you with a few testimonies from women already in the group...
I truly am so thankful I joined, I never really knew how much the Holy Spirit could work across the country through a computer screen!! I am learning so much and finding myself more excited to study every day...As if the studies alone weren’t enough to get me more excited to study the Bible, this has just been the icing on the cake. I love all of the insightful questions that Kate asks, and her prompts that get me thinking deeper about the Bible. It has been wonderful having people to discuss my questions and thoughts with all throughout the week as they pop into my head. I’m so thankful for the work God is doing through this community!

I love being a part of the abidible + community because we are honestly sharing our beliefs, struggles and growth. We all are in different circumstances and seasons, but there is an underlying foundation of love and trust in Christ, so we can share honestly and be accepted and encouraged right where we are. For me this is also means choosing to reject mindless scrolling and spend time sharing and focusing on Jesus.

The abidible+ space is an extension of growing in the Word and relationship with Christ alongside other believers. It does not replace my personal study or even in-person community; however, it enhances where God is meeting us individually while creating a space we can communicate ideas, discuss what we are learning in a deeper level, and even share personal convictions/growth points that unite us in accountability and discipleship. It is a space filled with mutual respect, and in that, a vulnerability to speak-up, ask hard questions, and provide knowledge as we dig into God’s word. I also love the extra tools, such as podcast transcripts, prayers, and tips related to abiding/the studies! Additionally, abidible+ allows a unique opportunity to get to know Kate (founder) as well as provide input on upcoming studies, products, etc. It’s not only meaningful but fun! Even if you are not on the same study she is currently presenting, EVERYONE has a place and can be part of discussions!

IN SUMMARY
Abidible+ is small. It’s tender. It’s still forming. And it’s a gift I don’t want to keep to myself.
If you’ve been longing for a place to bring your questions, your curiosity, your love for God’s Word—and even your uncertainties—I just wanted you to know that we’re intentionally building that space on Facebook.
This community exists because I felt a deep pull not just to teach at women through a mic, but to sit with them as we learn and walk things out together. I’m choosing to invest real time here—listening, responding, praying, studying, and growing alongside the women God brings into this space.
Abidible+ is a $10/month membership simply because it allows me to cover Abidible’s monthly operating costs and also to continue building our mission to help people know and love God more by abiding in Him through His Word. And YOU are at the heart of that mission.
Grateful for the privilege of serving you well and meeting you where you are.
